I would like to share my story of my runescape money experience since 2001.
I used to be (yes used to be) one of the is not the most richest player in runescape. I started in 2001 and during those years 01-03 all I would do all day every day is merchant rare items- ALL the party hats - masks, easter egg, crackers, pumpkins ect ect making 2-5 mill of each of my trades. I would buy say 2 blue p hats 18 mill each and turn around and sell for 22 mill.... thats 8 mill profit in a short time. Id do that over and over......
Anyway... eventually I got so rich I had every rare runescape item in the game and anything you could possibly think of wanting. This was around 03-04 I believe. I got bored with the game and stopped playing at that point. around early 04 I believe I started loggin in once a month or so and holding DROP PARTYs. because I was so bored and wanted to help people!!!
Id give away say 30 r2hs or so. Id also just send random people 100k or 500k for no reason.
Actually, I ended up giving away almost ALL my of billions of runescape items and runescape gold.
Nobody may beleive me but its been eating me up inside. I wish I knew the cost of RS items and runescape money would actually be worth something in real life, because I thought it was just a game and selling it for real money would never happen thus I wanted to help people and just give stuff away. I never knew my blue p hat I gave away would be worth 500+ mill now or about 3k usd! I sure could use that money . lol.
Anyway, I added it up I gave away around 20-30 thousand USD worth of items to people during the years of 04-07. every time I logged in Id end up giving away a few mill or more. I remember giving away tons of party hats, even when they were worth a few mill and I knew that. I gave away red,green,blue masks, santa hats, ALL my armor, ALL my weapons, xmas crackers, EVERYTHING and I did not ask for ANYTHING in return... everyone loved me.
Funny thing is now today I kind of regret giving it ALL away, consider I was one of the richest players and the RS money is worth something in USD now. Oh well.... The main reason I just gave it away is I wanted to help people , even if that meant I lost so much $$$ in real life do to losing all these rare items...
I must say I ONCE a few yrs back put a blue p hat on ebay- which within 1 day bids went up to 600 USD but it was cancelled by ebay as its not allowed. I must say I have NEVER sold anything in RS for real money but thats not to say I didnt try. (hehe). You would be surprised how hard if not impossible it is to sell any rare items in RS for real money, unless your asking a tiny amount like 200 bux for blue p hat. Am I right to say hardly anyone would pay 3000 for a blue party hat in some java game?? That kind of re-assures me that giving it all away for free was the right thing to do.

Up until 07 I had 1 blue p hat- bunny ears- and a yo yo left and THATS IT!
I used to ahve full p hats set, about 20 or so pink p hats, a few billion gold, everything you could think of but thanks to me A LOT of you RS players are VERY RICH.
in 07 I gave away my LAST TRADABLE RARE the blue p hat. I walked into the forest above varrock with full skull on wearing my blue p hat. I was raped within 10 seconds and someone got my blue p hat!
NO JOKE!!!
Maybe you will have someone like me do something kind like that and make you 500+ mill richer for nothing. You never know!

I could show u guys my yoyo or bunny ears from those early years as I still have those but thats about it Well maybe a rare or to on one of my alts... not sure
I am kind of curious about what has changed in RS since I played... around 04.
Whats this I hear about trade limits? Just curious....
I rather not say my RS name as many probably know me from back then I was pretty well known.

I hope u guys realize its a game and some people will give stuff away for free, before u go out and spend 3000 for a blue p hat. Hahahaha... just gotta find someone like me.
